What is Cardiomyopathy?
CARDEEO-MY-OPATHY is a life-threatening heart muscle disease. In most cases, the origins are familial, exposing each child of an affected parent to a 50:50 chance of inheriting the condition. Tragically, in some instances the first time a family becomes aware of the threat in their midst is when a member dies suddenly without reason.
Cardiomyopathy is the single largest cause in the United Kingdom of sudden death in those under the age of thirty.
